Learn the basics of what you need to know to protect your business information from a breach.  This will be a panel presentation by experts in their field with time for Q & A. Join us at Per Un' Angelo Restaurant, located in the Jones Beach Hotel in Wantagh for a networking mixer. Light food will be served and a cash bar is available. Admission is free and anyone can attend. We will be collecting supplies for HUC-JIR Soup Kitchen in Manhattan, as described below.
Items that are needed by the homeless men who frequent the soup kitchen include: backpacks, coats, jeans, sports jackets, suits, sweatshirts and toiletries, like travel or regular size body wash, bar soap, shampoo, conditioner body lotion, toothpaste, toothbrushes, razors and shaving cream. Please start collecting and setting aside these items. You might wish to ask your dentist to donate some of the dental care items, and hotels or retailers for toiletries or other supplies. If you do get donations from another business, please get us their information so we can thank and promote them.

For Step Ahead Members and Their Guests Only:  Member Mixer - Tuesday, October 23, 2018, 7:30 pm

We will be holding an inter-chapter mixer at the Beautiful Memories Gemach, housed on the premises of Young Israel of New Hyde Park. As you may be aware, the Gemach is a free clothing pantry run by Mark and his wife, Dr. Beth Krieger. This event is for Step Ahead members and their guests, and dessert will be served. There is no admission fee, but we request a voluntary donation to Young Israel of New Hyde Park to help offset the cost of maintaining the Gemach.

At this event you can:

  • Mingle with and get to know your fellow members from all chapters.
  • See the beautiful clothing offered by the Gemach, and shop, if you so wish. While the less fortunate receive clothing for free, others can shop the Gemach at discounted prices and their donation goes to help keep the doors open.
  • Non-profit members can promote their organizations.
  • Bring donations for the HUC-JIR Soup Kitchen initiative described below.
